Have you ever wondered how that delicious steak gets from the pasture you drive past to your dining room table? Here’s your chance to find out! CCPL is pleased to welcome Gwen Geis American National CattleWomen (ANCW) President, to speak at your library on Wednesday, March 14at 7PM. Geis, A fourth generation Campbell County rancher, will talk about her family;s ranching operation and give an overview of the life cycle of beef, including packing plants, feeders, feedlots and grocery stores. Geis, newly elected president of ANCW, has been involved with CattleWomen since high school and holding all offices at the local, state and national levels. She completed the Masters of Beef Advocacy program and is trained as a National Beef Speaker through the ANCW as well as being Beef Quality assurance certified. Come learn about ranching from someone who has embraced the western way of life and ranching all her life.
